VARD to Deliver Five Advanced Walk-to-Work Vessels for Offshore Operations

VARD’s extensive expertise in Service Operation Vessel (SOV) designs. Key features include a diesel-electric and battery-hybrid propulsion system, an optimized hull for reduced fuel consumption, and 3D motion-compensated gangway and crane systems. The vessels are also equipped with spacious accommodations to ensure high comfort and efficient working conditions for crew and technicians. Focusing on versatility, the vessels are designed to prioritize onboard logistics, superior operability, and large storage capacities. The design is also future-ready, enabling extensive use of electric power to support sustainable operations.Construction, outfitting, and commissioning will take place at VARD's Vung Tau shipyard in Vietnam. The first four vessels are scheduled for delivery in the second half of 2027, with the final unit expected in early 2028. This milestone contract reinforces VARD’s leadership in advanced offshore vessel solutions.
