Seaspan Corporation, a leading containership lessor based in Hong Kong, has placed an order for six advanced, environmentally friendly containerships from Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC). The vessels, each with a capacity of 13,600 TEUs, are part of Seaspan’s ongoing strategy to expand its fleet while adhering to global sustainability goals.

Hudong-Zhonghua, recognized for its independent ship design and development, will equip the newbuilds with cutting-edge eco-friendly technologies.
