Strategic Marine, a prominent aluminium shipbuilder, on 07 October announced the successful delivery of its latest 4th Generation Fast Crew Boat (FCB), the Amarco S1, to Bruneian offshore operator Amarco Sdn Bhd (AMARCO), marking a significant development in their collaboration. This vessel is set to serve long-term operations in Brunei’s offshore oil and gas sector, showcasing Strategic Marine’s advanced design and construction capabilities.

The Amarco S1, a 42-metre vessel, is powered by triple Baudouin 12M26.3 engines, paired with ZF3050 gearboxes, enabling it to reach speeds exceeding 28.5 knots. It is future-ready, with provisions for a gyro stabilizer and a motion-compensated gangway.Emphasizing sustainability, the vessel is equipped with a plug-and-play hybrid system that allows certain operations to be conducted entirely on battery power, aligning with global environmental standards.

The Amarco S1 is outfitted with an external firefighting system (FIFI) and an Oil Dispersant System, enhancing its emergency response capabilities. Additional features include a bow thruster and auto-trimming interceptors for optimal maneuverability.Designed with passenger comfort in mind, the vessel offers cruise-style interiors, larger windows, reclining chairs, and USB charging ports, ensuring a comfortable experience for all passengers.
