Drydel Shipping formerly known as Meadway Shipping & Trading Inc. has announced the placement of an order for a new eco-friendly Ultramax vessel from Japan's Tsuneishi Shipyard. The vessel, an Ultramax TESS 66, is designed with the exclusive Aeroline technology from Tsuneishi, ensuring enhanced efficiency and minimal environmental impact.This vessel will be fully compliant with the Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) Phase 3 regulations, reflecting DryDel Shipping's commitment to sustainable and responsible shipping practices. The new vessel is expected to be delivered to the company's fleet by 2028.

The Ultramax TESS 66 features a unique design with a 66,000 deadweight tonnage (DWT) and a 32-meter beam, highlighting Tsuneishi Shipyard's innovative approach to vessel construction. This addition to DryDel Shipping's fleet represents a significant investment in Japanese Ultramax newbuilding tonnages.
