Amer Shipping, the Dutch inland shipping company owned by the Buijks family, has ordered two additional CDS Dry Cargo 110 hulls from Concordia Damen, expanding the series to six vessels. The first, named AM Lianova, will join Stream Shipping, the joint venture between Amer Shipping and German cooperative MSG eG. Skippers Bram and Lilian Timmer, formerly of the vessel Simcha, will become co-owners of the AM Lianova through Stream Shipping. The second, unnamed hull will join Amer Shipping's own fleet. Deliveries are scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2027 and the second quarter of 2028. The CDS 110 series began in 2024 with the Adriana Maria, now renamed AM Voyager, followed by the AM Explorer and the Johannes Sr. A fourth vessel, the Arnold Sr, is due to be named on 16 October 2026. Stream Shipping already operates the AM Voyager and AM Explorer and holds an option on a fourth vessel. Chris Kornet, Managing Director at Concordia Damen, said the repeat order reflected continued trust from the Buijks and Timmer families. The CDS 110 design measures 110 by 11.45 metres, with a shallow draught and low air draught, allowing passage under bridges with 4.25-metre clearance at a 2.50-metre draught. Peter Buijks, Managing Director of Amer Shipping, said the vessels carry up to 200 tonnes more cargo than comparable 110-metre ships while consuming less fuel due to lower hull resistance. The hulls come from Concordia Damen's stock-building programme, with outfitting carried out at the Buijks family's Ruijtenberg Shipyard. A shaft generator charges onboard batteries while sailing, allowing emission- and noise-free loading and unloading.
