Gondan Shipbuilders has launched the 513 OESV at its Figueras facility in Spain, marking the largest vessel ever built by the shipyard. The unit was constructed for Norwegian shipowner Ostensjøo Rederi A/S and represents the 23rd vessel delivered to the client over more than 20 years of collaboration between the two companies. The 513 OESV, an Ocean Energy Support Vessel measuring 120 meters in length and 23 meters in beam, was designed by Norwegian firm Salt Ship Design. It is built to perform a wide range of complex offshore operations from a single platform, including safe personnel transfer (W2W), CSOV wind farm support, offshore construction, subsea installations, ROV inspection operations, and cable laying and repair. Gondan Shipbuilders described the long-standing partnership with Ostensjøo Rederi as central to innovation in the offshore maritime sector, expressing gratitude for the shipowner's continued trust over two decades of joint projects. The relationship has produced a steady stream of specialized vessels tailored to offshore energy support work. Following the launch, the 513 OESV will undergo final outfitting afloat and subsequent sea trials over the coming months. Delivery to Ostensjøo Rederi is scheduled for late 2027.
