US cruise line Crystal has placed a firm order for a third new-build vessel with Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri, converting an option agreed in 2024. The new ship is scheduled for delivery in 2034 and will be a sister ship to the "Crystal Grace," currently under construction at Fincantieri's Marghera yard and due to enter service in 2028. Another vessel in the series is planned for delivery in
May 2031. Each of the three ships will have a gross tonnage of 62,000 and accommodate up to 650 guests on a double-occupancy basis. All cabins will be suites with balconies, and the ships will feature a continuous promenade deck along with multiple outdoor dining and relaxation areas. The order reflects the strong partnership between Crystal, part of the A&K Travel Group since 2023, and Fincantieri, emphasizing innovation and craftsmanship. Cristina Levis, CEO of A&K Travel Group, noted that the response to the "Crystal Grace" has exceeded expectations, and the third ship order is in anticipation of growing demand in the luxury cruise segment. Luigi Matarazzo, General Manager of Fincantieri's Merchant Ships Division, highlighted the shared commitment to excellence and the continuation of designing a new generation of luxury cruise ships.
