Greek dry bulk owner W Marine has placed an order for three 64,500-dwt Ultramax bulk carriers with Jiangsu Dajin Heavy Industry. Each vessel is priced at approximately $33.5 million, with scheduled deliveries set for May, August, and November 2028. This marks a significant expansion for W Marine, which currently operates a fleet of 18 vessels primarily composed of Kamsarmax and Post-Panamax bulkers, with only one Ultramax in service. The newbuildings are intended to enhance W Marine's presence in the flexible Indian Ocean and regional trades.
