Damen Launches Second CSOV 9020 for TSSM

The CSOV 9020 design incorporates features for future methanol operation, including green methanol, and benefits from an optimized hull that reduces fuel consumption. Its hybrid diesel-electric propulsion system contributes to lower emissions compared to conventional vessels. Damen highlighted that the vessel’s capabilities have been adapted from experience in the European offshore wind sector to meet the needs of the rapidly developing Asian market. Thomas Röwekamp, Regional Sales Director Asia-Pacific at Damen, emphasized the vessels’ role in supporting TSSM and its clients in advancing a sustainable regional energy sector. The launch marks a key milestone in Damen’s delivery of environmentally conscious offshore support vessels tailored for the Asian offshore wind industry.
