Lauritzen Bulkers has taken delivery of the MV Hanna Bulker at Hakodate, Japan. The vessel joins the fleet on a long-term time charter from Japanese owner Hisafuku Kisen, marking a decade of partnership between the two companies. Built by Hakodate Dock, part of the Namura Group, MV Hanna Bulker continues a longstanding relationship with the shipyard, from which Lauritzen Bulkers has received more than 15 vessels over 18 years. The naming ceremony was attended by Simon Fast, General Manager of LB Dubai, his wife who served as the godmother, and Carl Wegeberg, Head of Asset Management Book. The vessel’s name, Hanna, means "flower" in Japanese. MV Hanna Bulker’s maiden voyage will transport fertilisers from Taiwan and Malaysia to Australia. Lauritzen Bulkers expressed optimism for the vessel’s future operations and safe voyages ahead.
