The 740 TEU pure-electric intelligent container ship "Ning Yuan Dian Kun" has officially entered commercial service. This milestone was achieved through a collaboration between NBOS, Jiangxi Jiangxin Shipbuilding, SDARI, and China Classification Society (CCS). CCS played a strategic role throughout the project, supporting the vessel from design to delivery. Their contributions included rules research and application for intelligent ships, battery system verification, low-carbon assessment, autonomous navigation testing, and digital vessel management. According to Mr. Qian Genfeng, Deputy GM of NBOS, CCS is both a key developer of industry rules and a technical force advancing China's green and intelligent shipping sector. Looking forward, NBOS and CCS plan to deepen cooperation in areas such as ship-shore coordination, full-scale ship validation, and the development of new energy ship types. This partnership aims to further promote sustainable maritime transport and innovation in electric shipping technology.
