Minerva Dry, a century-old Greek shipping group, has signed a contract with Hengli Heavy Industry for four new 6,000 TEU container vessels. These Post-Panamax ships are scheduled for delivery in 2028 and will be deployed on global shipping routes. The new vessels feature large container capacity, standardized hull dimensions, strong deadweight cargo capacity, lower fuel consumption, and enhanced environmental performance. Their design also allows for wider route adaptability compared to conventional container ships. These ships will outperform all container vessels currently owned or under construction by Minerva Dry in key performance indicators. The acquisition marks a significant advancement in the Group’s container shipping business, optimizing fleet capacity and strengthening its competitiveness in the global mainline shipping market.
