Trawind Expands International Multipurpose Fleet

The company’s fleet and orderbook total 25 vessels, including 10 ships dedicated to China’s domestic trades and 15 for international operations. Among the seven newbuildings for international trade are six 14,000-dwt general cargo ships scheduled for delivery through 2027. Once these new vessels enter service, Trawind’s internationally trading fleet will grow from eight to 15 ships. This expansion signals the company’s strategic shift from its domestic container shipping base toward a more substantial presence in international breakbulk, project cargo, and multipurpose shipping sectors. Trawind is poised to become a more visible Chinese operator in the global MPP market.
