Sirius Takes Delivery of Emission-Reduced Vessel Marinus

a 1,000 kW shore power system enabling zero-emission loading and discharging in port. Built at China Merchants Industry Yangzhou Dingheng Shipyard and financed by Svenska Skeppshypotek, Marinus has a cargo capacity of 17,500 m³ and holds an Ice Class 1A rating. The vessel will enter a time charter with VAROPreem, a long-term partner of Sirius. The ship also includes MarineLine coated tanks to enhance operational reliability. The naming ceremony for Marinus is scheduled for 24 Sep 2026 at Donsö. Concurrently, Sirius has begun construction on the first of four vessels in its 8K series, continuing its fleet renewal efforts focused on sustainability and reduced emissions.
