Østensjø Rederi has signed a contract for a second tugboat in its newbuild program, a sister vessel to the NB C515. The new tug will be constructed at ASTILLEROS GONDAN, where the first vessel is already under construction. The tugs are designed by Skipsteknisk and will measure 50 meters in length. They will feature diesel-electric propulsion and be methanol ready, reflecting a focus on flexible and cleaner fuel options. Delivery of the new tug is scheduled for 2028. This order continues Østensjø Rederi's expansion of its fleet with modern, environmentally conscious vessels. The program highlights collaboration between the Norwegian shipowner, the Spanish shipyard, and the design firm Skipsteknisk.
