DEME Orders 22,000 m³ Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger

It will be capable of operating on conventional fuels and is methanol ready, allowing future fuel flexibility. The dredger is intended for capital dredging, land reclamation, and offshore seabed preparation projects. Construction will be supervised by DEME, with the main structure built in China and outfitting completed in Singapore to meet European maritime standards. This investment supports DEME's strategy to improve operational efficiency, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and maintain competitiveness in the global dredging market. DEME operates one of the largest dredging fleets worldwide, with over 50 vessels.
