Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co. (DSIC) has delivered its third LNG carrier, Sea Creation, to China Merchants Energy Shipping (CMES). The 175,000 cbm vessel features a GTT Mark III Flex containment system, a WinGD X-DF 2.0 main engine with integrated iCER,
and a full reliquefaction plant. This delivery is part of a series of eight LNG carriers ordered by CMES from DSIC. The first two vessels were delivered in late 2025 and early 2026. These ships are under long-term charter to Sinochem and managed by OPearl, a joint venture between CMES, CNOOC, and NYK. The addition of these modern 175,000 cbm membrane tonnage carriers with advanced engines and reliquefaction systems marks continued fleet expansion and increased demand for qualified seafarers.
