On 5 Jun 2026, Greek shipowner Venergy Maritime signed a contract with Hengli Heavy Industry for four 158,000 dwt Suezmax crude oil tankers. The deal includes an initial two vessels scheduled for delivery in the fourth quarter of 2028, with an option for two additional ships to be completed in 2029. Each tanker is estimated to cost USD 89 million, bringing the total value of the order to approximately USD 356 million. Venergy Maritime is an affiliate of Greece’s Vyron Vasileiadis Group and is expanding its footprint in the crude oil shipping sector. This newbuilding order reflects the company’s strategic investment in mid-sized tankers suited for global oil transport.
