Antipollution, part of V Group, and ONEX Shipyards & Technologies have signed a letter of intent for the construction of up to eight eco-friendly waste collection vessels to be built in Greece. The project includes four vessels with options for four more, all to be built to ABS Class at Onex Neorion Shipyard, marking a significant development in Greek shipbuilding and environmental maritime services. These vessels will collect solid waste from commercial ships in Greek ports and transport it to Antipollution's onshore facility for processing into solid fuel, promoting circular maritime waste management. The initiative supports domestic shipbuilding expertise while addressing environmental needs in Greece. Delivery of the vessels is expected throughout 2028. ABS will provide classification services to ensure safety and performance from design to construction.
