Yujian Logistics (Hubei) Co., Ltd has placed an order for LNG-fuelled general cargo ships with Hubei Hechuang Heavy Industry Co. Ltd. The contract was signed on 16 Jun 2026, with deliveries scheduled between 1 Jan 2027 and 31 Dec 2028. These vessels will be classified by CCS and designed for inland river operations. The order was reported on 18 Jun 2026. This initiative reflects ongoing efforts to introduce cleaner fuel technologies in inland waterway shipping.
