Erasmus Shipinvest BV has doubled its order of kamsarmax bulk carriers at Jiangsu New Hantong Ship Heavy Industry, increasing its total to eight vessels. The Athens-based company, led by John Su, contracted four additional 82,000-dwt bulk carriers, lifting its investment in this ship type to approximately $296 million. These conventional-fuel vessels are scheduled for delivery between January 2028 and December 2029. The newbuildings will be constructed at the Chinese shipyard JIANGSU NEW HANTONG SHIP HEAVY INDUSTRY. This expansion reflects Erasmus Shipinvest's ongoing commitment to growing its bulk carrier fleet amid the global shipping market's evolving demands.
