CSSC Guangzhou (Huangpu) Wenchong Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (HPWS) secured an order for container ships with a capacity of 5,300 TEU on 18 Jun 2026. The vessels will measure 235 meters in length and 37.5 meters in width, with a deadweight tonnage of 71,500 DWT. These conventional fuel-powered ships are scheduled for delivery between 1 Jan 2028 and 31 Dec 2029. The order reflects ongoing demand for mid-sized container vessels in the global shipping industry.
