Capital Clean Energy Carriers Corp. (CCEC) and CMA CGM have established a joint venture with equal ownership to build and operate a 20,000 cbm dual-fuel LNG bunkering vessel. The vessel will be constructed by Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co., Ltd. at
a contract price of $82.8 million, with delivery scheduled between July and September 2028. The vessel incorporates advanced technologies for safe LNG transfer and emissions reduction, supporting environmental standards in the shipping industry. Upon delivery, the joint venture plans to enter a 12-year time charter with a JV between CMA CGM and TotalEnergies. This marks CCEC's entry into the LNG bunkering sector, expanding its gas vessel operations into marine fuel supply. The collaboration aims to enhance LNG bunkering infrastructure, contributing to the decarbonization of maritime transport.
