International Seaways, Inc has placed an order for up to four LNG-ready product tankers with K Shipbuilding in South Korea, marking its return to newbuildings after a two-year break. The contract includes two firm 74,000-dwt LR1 product tankers priced at approximately $62 million each, with options for two additional vessels. These tankers are conventional fuel type but designed to be LNG ready. The deliveries are scheduled for 2028.
