SAFEEN Drydocks has secured two major vessel construction contracts valued at AED 1.3 billion (USD 354 million), marking its largest awards to date and reinforcing the UAE's position as a shipbuilding hub. The first contract involves designing and fabricating four 140-metre multipurpose vessels for AD Ports Group, each capable of carrying 105 passengers, 300 containers including over 100 reefer plugs, high and heavy cargo, 1,000 cars, and 100 trailers. The second contract covers the construction of 18 specialized marine support units, including tugboats and pilot boats, for Nigeria’s Oilbank Logistics Services Ltd to support port and offshore operations. SAFEEN Drydocks operates facilities in the UAE and Spain, combining advanced engineering and modular construction methods. These contracts highlight the company's expanding capabilities in complex vessel fabrication and its strategic role in the UAE’s maritime manufacturing growth.
