On 05 Jun 2026, Hengli Heavy Industry held a naming and delivery ceremony for two 306,000 DWT very large crude carriers (VLCCs), setting a new global shipbuilding record by delivering both vessels on the same day. The VLCCs, named EVROS and ACHELOOS, were built for Greek shipping company Dynacom Tankers Management and feature an in-house design by Hengli Heavy Industry. Each vessel measures 332.8 meters in length, 60 meters in breadth, and 30 meters in depth, with a service speed of 14.5 knots. The ships are designed with enhanced safety, environmental protection, energy efficiency, and onboard habitability. This milestone highlights Hengli Heavy Industry's growing capabilities in the VLCC segment.
