Drydel Shipping has expanded its newbuilding program with the order of a 64,000 DWT Ultramax bulk carrier at IMABARI SHIPYARD. The vessel, powered by conventional fuel, is scheduled for delivery in 2029. This order is part of Drydel's broader strategy of investing exclusively in Japanese shipbuilding, focusing on modern, efficient, and commercially competitive vessels. The company has placed over 20 newbuilding orders at top-tier Japanese yards since 2021, with a current forward program of 11 vessels exceeding 1.2 million tons in total capacity.
