DryDel Shipping has expanded its newbuilding program with the signing of an 82,000 DWT Kamsarmax bulk carrier at Shin Kurushima Sanoyas Shipbuilding - Mizushima Shipyard. The conventional-fueled vessel is scheduled for delivery within 2028. This order is part of DryDel's broader fleet expansion,
which includes additional Ultramax vessels at other Japanese yards. All newbuildings are designed to meet Tier III / Phase 3 environmental standards, focusing on fuel efficiency and reduced emissions. Since 2021, DryDel has placed over 20 newbuilding orders exclusively at top-tier Japanese shipyards, reflecting a long-term partnership strategy. The company's forward newbuilding program now totals 11 vessels with a combined capacity exceeding 1.2 million tons. This latest contract was reported on 29 May 2026, reinforcing DryDel's commitment to modern, efficient dry bulk carriers built in Japan.
