Esvagt Partners with Turkish Shipyard for Innovative Offshore Wind Service Operation Vessel

Danish offshore shipping company Esvagt has inked a deal with Turkey’s Cemre Shipyard for the construction of a Service Operation Vessel (SOV) tailored for Ecowende's Hollandse Kust West offshore wind farm. The SOV will feature a diesel-electric propulsion system supported by energy storage systems, optimizing wind turbine support operations. Hav Group's ship design business will handle the project's design and deliver a comprehensive equipment package, including propulsion, engines, propellers, and positioning systems. The contract, valued at over $9.5 million, marks the 12th collaboration between Hav Group and Esvagt. The vessel, part of a 15-year contract with Vestas, is set to contribute to the eco-friendly Hollandse Kust West wind farm scheduled for commissioning in 2026
