Yangzijiang Shipbuilding has secured US$1.03 billion in new orders year to date, raising its total outstanding order book to US$22.3 billion, according to a business update on 19 May 2026. The new contracts cover 24 vessels, primarily small to mid-sized ships, including 19 container ships, four oil tankers, and one bulk carrier. The company's order book now comprises 252 vessels, with clean-energy vessels accounting for 69% of the total value. Container ships dominate the order book with 146 vessels valued at US$16.41 billion. Despite geopolitical tensions affecting market sentiment, Yangzijiang remains on track with production and delivery schedules, having delivered 17 vessels so far this year. The company aims for US$4.5 billion in order wins for the 2026 financial year and is expanding capacity with new yard and LNG terminal projects expected to complete by 2026 and 2027 respectively.
