Greek shipping company JHI Steamship has placed an order with IMABARI SHIPYARD for a single aframax crude tanker. The vessel will have a deadweight of 115,000 and will be scrubber fitted, running on conventional fuel. Delivery is scheduled between January and December 2028. JHI Steamship, led by John Inglessis, has been expanding its tanker fleet since its formation last year. This newbuild continues the company's focus on modern, environmentally compliant vessels. The order reflects ongoing demand for aframax tankers in the crude oil shipping sector. The vessel will be constructed at IMABARI SHIPYARD in Japan, a well-established shipbuilder known for tanker production.
