APSEZ’s Ocean Sparkle Limited has signed a shipbuilding agreement with Udupi Cochin Shipyard for four 70-tonne bollard pull ASD tugboats. This deal enhances APSEZ’s marine capabilities to support safer and more efficient port operations. The partnership also contributes to strengthening India’s shipbuilding ecosystem. Earlier in FY26-27, APSEZ placed five tugboat orders within the first two months, reflecting its efforts to scale capacity and support local industry. These developments align with India's goal to emerge as a global maritime powerhouse.
