On 12 May 2026, CMA CGM took delivery of CMA CGM NOTRE DAME, the world’s largest 24,000 TEU LNG dual-fuel Ultra-Large Container Ship (ULCS), built by Jiangsu Yangzi Xinfu Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. The vessel, the lead ship of its series ordered at Yangzi Xinfu Shipyard, features an LNG dual-fuel propulsion system aimed at reducing carbon emissions. Measuring nearly 399.9 metres in length with a beam of 61.3 metres, it can carry 24,092 standard containers. This ship is among the most technologically advanced and environmentally friendly ultra-large container ships currently in operation. Its dedicated LNG fuel tank configuration supports the shipping industry's transition to greener and low-carbon operations. The CMA CGM NOTRE DAME represents a significant advancement in the design and construction of complex container vessels.
