On 8 May 2026, CSSC Guangzhou Shipyard International (GSI) held a naming ceremony for two 74,500-ton chemical/products tankers built for Norway’s Ocean Yield (OCY). The No.1 vessel was signed and delivered, classed with RINA. Upon delivery, the vessel series will be operated by Braskem, a global petrochemical company. This project marks GSI’s first LR1 tanker constructed on its platform production line. The tanker measures 228 meters in length, 36 meters in breadth, with a structural draft of 13.5 meters and a service speed of 14.0 knots. All performance indicators meet leading industry standards. The delivery highlights GSI’s expanding capabilities in chemical tanker construction for international clients.
