On 8 May 2026, the 100,000-cubic-meter very large ethane carrier (VLEC) PACIFIC DUBHE (H2777) was officially named and delivered. Chartered by Wanhua Chemical and financed by ABC Financial Leasing, the vessel was built for Pacific Gas by Jiangnan Shipyard. The ship features the yard’s self-developed BrillianceE® Type B cargo containment system, boasting the world’s largest tank capacity among VLECs with internationally leading technical indicators. Measuring 230 meters in length, PACIFIC DUBHE is designed to carry liquefied industrial and energy gases such as ethane, ethylene, and LPG. It is optimized for long-haul US ethane transportation and compatible with major global LPG terminals. The vessel offers economic benefits including low fuel and gas consumption, a low boil-off rate, unrestricted liquid level loading limits, and reduced maintenance costs.
