On 7 May 2026, Beihai Shipyard and CSSC Shipping Trade held a naming ceremony for five vessels built for CMB.TECH, including a 319,000 DWT ULCC and four 210,000 DWT bulk carriers. The event featured industry leaders such as CMB.TECH CFO Ludovic Saverys and Beihai Shipyard Chairman Ou Chuanjie. The ULCC "MORINI" was delivered 10 months ahead of schedule, achieving high standards in dockside and superstructure assembly integrity. The four bulk carriers—MINERAL LATVIJA, MINERAL EESTI, MINERAL MAGYAR, and MINERAL LIETUVA—are designed to meet Tier III NOx and EEDI Phase III regulations. These vessels are ammonia-ready and dual-fuel capable, reflecting a commitment to zero-carbon shipping solutions. The ceremony highlighted advances in lean shipbuilding and sustainability, marking a milestone in maritime innovation and green shipping.
