France’s GTT has secured a contract to design cryogenic tanks for five LNG carriers being built by Hudong Zhonghua Shipbuilding for Malaysia’s MISC. Each vessel will have a capacity of around 174,000 cbm, with deliveries scheduled between 2029 and 2030. These carriers will serve long-term charter commitments linked to Petronas. The deal highlights ongoing expansion in LNG shipping capacity driven by future supply growth and long-term charters.
