Damen has announced a joint venture with the Gouvernement du Sénégal to operate Damen Shiprepair Dakar. The shipyard, strategically located on the West African coast, will support clients in the region, including those in the expanding offshore energy sector. Combining local expertise with Damen’s craftsmanship, the yard aims to deliver quality, reliability, and long-term value. Plans also include reviving newbuilding activities at the site. Damen expects to welcome its first clients this month, marking a new chapter for shiprepair services in West Africa.
