Euroseas Ltd. has contracted the construction of two 1,800 TEU conventional container ships at Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co., Ltd. These vessels are scheduled for delivery between June and September 2028, with each costing approximately $32.5 million. The newbuildings will comply with
EEDI Phase 3 and IMO NOx Tier III emission standards. This order expands Euroseas' feeder containership newbuilding program, which now totals ten vessels with a combined contracted cost near $500 million. The company also holds options to order up to two additional vessels of similar size. Euroseas operates a fleet of 21 container carriers and plans to grow its fleet to 31 vessels by 2029, enhancing its position in the feeder container market. The new ships will be financed through a combination of debt and equity.
