Torghatten's MF Hinnøy has been awarded "Best Electric Ro-Pax 2025" by Baird Maritime. The ferry operates on the Bognes–Lødingen route in Norway, known as one of the most weather-exposed ferry routes and possibly the world's longest fully electric crossing, with a sailing time of around one hour in fair weather. This route serves as a crucial transport link in northern Norway. The award recognizes the strong collaboration and expertise of the teams involved, both onshore and at sea. The Norwegian Ship Design Company was also named a co-winner of the award. The recognition highlights ongoing efforts to advance electric ferry technology in challenging maritime environments.
