Djibouti Launches Largest Ship Repair Yard in Red Sea

Covering 80 hectares, the facility includes 800 meters of alongside berth capacity for dry-docking and in-water repairs. Central to the yard is a 217-meter floating dock, delivered in February 2026, which measures 43 meters wide and can lift vessels up to 20,100 tonnes. The yard is equipped to service a broad range of commercial ships and auxiliary naval platforms, enhancing regional maritime maintenance capabilities.
