Two 24-metre eSAILs® have been installed on MV Baltazar at Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Holdings, marking a first for locally manufactured eSAILs® in China and the first 24m Model 3 units ever built. MV Baltazar is part of the Klaveness Combination Carriers ASA CABU III series and is among the first tanker/dry bulk vessels to use suction sail technology. The installation aims to enhance the vessel's efficiency by leveraging wind power to achieve environmental, commercial, and regulatory benefits. The project was a collaboration between Klaveness Combination Carriers and New Yangzi Shipbuilding. MV Baltazar is expected to be delivered this summer, ready to utilize wind propulsion technology.
