On 22 Apr 2026, Jiangnan Shipyard (CSSC) signed, named, and delivered the CMA CGM ESMERALDA, the fourth vessel of its "KUN" series 15,000 TEU methanol dual-fuel container ships built for CMA CGM. The ship, hull number H2794, is part of the "KUN-15M" series, which features an overall length of 366 meters and is independently designed and developed by Jiangnan Shipyard. The shipyard employs a market-oriented and production-adapted R&D model that integrates research, design, and production to meet owner requirements. This series represents a highly efficient, green, energy-saving, and eco-friendly ultra-large container vessel developed by the company. The delivery marks another milestone in Jiangnan Shipyard's efforts to advance sustainable maritime technology.
