Singapore-based Norse Shipholding has placed an order for four 1,800-TEU feeder container vessels at Fujian Shipbuilding Industry Group, with options for two more units. The vessels will be constructed at Fujian Mawei and Fujian Southeast Shipbuilding yards, with deliveries scheduled for 2028–2029. These bangkokmax-type vessels will be built following a standard SDARI design. The newbuildings align with Norse Shipholding's strategy to expand its feeder fleet within the sub-2,000 TEU segment. This order reflects the company's focus on enhancing its presence in the feeder container market.
