Udupi Cochin Shipyard Limited (UCSL), a subsidiary of Cochin Shipyard Limited, successfully launched the Ocean Royal tugboat for M/s Ocean Sparkle Ltd. The vessel is equipped with a Niigata engine from IHI Power Systems Co., Ltd., featuring clutch and thruster systems designed for modern harbour tug operations. Niigata engines have powered over 150 vessels across India since 1996, supporting ports, terminals, and marine operations nationwide. This launch underscores the strength of Indian shipbuilding and the Make in India initiative, with UCSL delivering vessels that meet global standards. The Ocean Royal project highlights continued growth and trust in India's maritime industry from key stakeholders such as Ocean Sparkle Ltd and UCSL.
