**Venergy Orders Two Suezmax Tankers at Guangzhou Shipyard International** Greek owner Venergy Maritime Limited has signed a contract for two 157,000 dwt Suezmax crude oil tankers at Guangzhou Shipyard International (GSI), finalized on 2 April 2026. The vessels will feature GSI’s new-generation Suezmax design, measuring approximately 274 metres in length with a 48-metre beam and 17.1-metre draft. They will be conventionally fuelled, equipped with open-loop scrubbers, and comply with IMO Tier III and EEDI Phase III environmental standards. The ships are designed for a service speed of 14.2 knots. This order marks Venergy’s first direct cooperation with GSI and extends its relationship with CSSC yards. Founded in 2021 by Vyron Vasileiadis, Venergy is part of the Vasileiadis Group, which operates across shipping, port reception, waste management, and renewable energy sectors. The deal highlights Chinese shipyards’ ongoing role in building high-spec conventional tankers for emerging Greek owners.
