**Excelerate Energy Names New FSRU Excelerate Acadia** Excelerate Energy has named its new floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU), Excelerate Acadia, at the Hyundai Heavy Industries shipyard in Ulsan, South Korea. This marks the first Excelerate FSRU built at the Ulsan facility. Deborah Byers, a board member of Excelerate Energy and the vessel’s godmother, performed the ceremonial christening. The Excelerate Acadia features a modern design with advanced efficiency, safety features, and redundant systems to support long-term LNG import and regasification operations. The vessel completed sea trials two months after its July 2025 launch and keel laying. Excelerate Acadia is scheduled for deployment at Excelerate Energy’s integrated LNG import terminal in Iraq, enhancing the company’s LNG infrastructure capabilities.
