Purus Expands LNG Carrier Fleet with New Orders, Focuses on 2027-2029 Deliveries

an earlier late 2025 agreement for two LNG carriers, worth about $503 million, with deliveries expected between 2028 and 2029. Purus, which manages more than 20 vessels across LNG, ammonia, LPG, and ethane, has been active in the market, also securing two additional LNG carrier orders earlier this year at the same yard. In 2025, the company booked a 180,000 cu m LNG carrier at Hyundai Heavy Industries for about $262 million, set for delivery in December 2027.
