On February 26, 2026, Bureau Veritas celebrated the naming ceremony of GAZ RONIN, a 93,000 cbm Very Large Ammonia Carrier (VLAC), at Hanwha Ocean’s shipyard in Geoje, Republic of Korea. The vessel, built by Hanwha Ocean for Naftomar Shipping And Trading Co. Ltd. Inc., is designed for the bulk transport of liquefied ammonia and LPG, featuring independent cargo tanks and environmentally friendly technologies. Representatives from Naftomar Shipping and Trading, Hanwha Ocean, Bureau Veritas, and other stakeholders participated in the event. Bureau Veritas provided classification services to ensure compliance with international safety and quality standards, including the IMO IGC Code. The company congratulated all project partners and expressed commitment to supporting the vessel through its operational life.
