New Yangzi Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Group, has successfully delivered the 75,000-dwt LR1 tanker CAMARO to shipowner Evalend. The delivery documents were signed on March 12, after which the vessel departed the shipyard and entered service. Designed by Shanghai Merchant Ship Design & Research Institute (SDARI) and classed by Lloyd’s Register, the CAMARO is the fourth in a series of ten similar tankers ordered by Evalend. The ship measures 227.9 meters in length and is capable of transporting crude oil, refined petroleum products, and various chemicals, meeting the latest EEDI Phase III environmental standards.
